Volunteers are the heart and soul of any successful event. In fact, most charitable events would not happen without the passionate support of the outstanding volunteers who give their personal time to lend a helping hand.  With your help, we will bring together 10,000 cyclists to ride on the DVP and the Gardiner Expressway to support Baycrest as it works to create a world where every older adult enjoys a life of purpose, inspiration, and fulfilment.

We are currently recruiting volunteers for the following roles:

Participant Check-in: Work as a team to provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact for our event participants. During the check-in process volunteers will check participants in, collect donations and distribute their credentials.

Corporate Experience: Welcome and engage corporate teams and captains to coordinate a team photograph, as well as ensure the corporate dining area is tidy and presentable.

Info Squad: Welcome participants and guests to the Bike for Brain Health event, share event information, answer questions and provide directions in a friendly manner.

Finish Line: Assist with celebrating participants’ fundraising and physical accomplishments. Help distribute recognition tokens as participants complete their route and cheer participants on as they cross the finish line!

Longo’s Fuel Station: Work as a team to run the Longo’s Fuel Station by replenishing and presenting healthy food and beverage items as participants complete their route.

Rest Stations: Work as a team to operate one of four rest stations along the route, including set up/tear down, and ensure snacks and beverages are ready to go as participants arrive. Warmly welcome participants as they refuel and hydrate during the event.

Volunteer Engagement: Work as a team to check-in volunteers, provide support materials, t-shirts, directions and overall help make it an unforgettable volunteer experience.
